Create/Manage Your Email Addresses

To create Charter.net Email addresses:

  1. Login to your My Account
  2. Click the Online Tools Tab
  3. Click "Add New Email" button
  4. Enter your desired Email address and password and click "Save"

Note:  If the Email address is already in use you will be prompted with a message and will need to enter a different Email address.

  • To manage existing Email Addresses, you may choose to:
    • Change Password
    • Delete an email address
    • Change the email address which serves as the Head of household or parent email address

Change/Reset a password for an Email address

You may change or reset a password for an email address:

  • From the Email Address tab choose "Change Password" .
  • Click "Change" next to the email address' password you wish to change.
    • Type the new password in the New Password field. While the actual typed values will not appear, an asterisk will display for each character typed.
  • In the Confirm Password field, retype the new password.
  • Click the Save button. When the change is complete, the Manage section displays again.

Delete a charter.net email address

  1. Click the Charter.net Email Addresses link. The Manage section displays, with a list of email addresses.
  2. Click the Delete icon to the right of the address you want to delete. The Delete Email Address page displays.
    • Note: This page provides a warning that deletion of the email address will also delete the emails associated with the address. Please ensure that any email associated with the address has been saved in another location prior to completion of the action.
  3. From the Delete Email Address page, click the Delete button to delete the selected email address or click the Cancel button to discontinue the delete process. The Manage Email Addresses section displays without the deleted email address.

A deleted email address no longer displays in your Manage Email address list. The email address and any messages associated with the address will no longer be accessible. The username of a deleted email address cannot be reused for 90 days.

How To Access Your Charter.net Email

You may access your email at www.charter.net and select the 'Check E-mail' button. Or if you are on a www.charter.com page; then select the Quick link 'Check Email' at the upper right on any page. Enter your complete Username (yourname@charter.net) and Password.

May I use my Charter.net Email address to login to My Account?

No, in order to protect your statement and payment information, your charter.net login is only used for email access and charter.net premium services at www.charter.net. Your My Account login is used to manage your email addresses, as well as view statement and make payments online.
