This tutorial will guide you through using finding your WEP key on Netgear routers. Use the menu links below to navigate through the document.
On a computer that is currently online, open up Internet Explorer. Erase what is in the Address bar and type in “http://192.168.0.1” and hit the Enter Key on the keyboard.
Log in using username and password. please contact Charter Support at 1-888-GET-CHARTER (888-438-2427).
Next, click on Wireless Settings on the left side.
In the white area on the middle of the page, scroll down to Encryption (WEP) Key and write down the key next to the filled in dot (usually Key 1). That is your encryption key.
For WPA, The Netgear password that was entered in the WPA Pre-Shared Key field.
