Create, Login or Manage My Account Profile

My Account Features

Creating a My Account login gives you the opportunity to pay and view your bills, setup automatic payments, view upcoming appointment information as well as manage your email, webspace and Charter Security Suite information online. Additionally, if you have Charter Phone service you are able to view your outbound long distance telephone call usage and details.

Create or Login to My Account

Create a My Account Login

To register, follow the steps below:

  • Click here to create your online My Account.
  • Enter your 4-digit Security Code and your Charter account number found in the upper left hand corner of your Charter billing statement.

  • The security code in the upper right corner of your statement

  • Click the Create Account button.
  • Type your preferred username and password in the required fields.
    • User names and passwords have criteria requirements. Strong Username and Password tips give detailed requirements along with helpful suggestions and things to avoid when creating a username and password.
    • A full email address (joesxample@charter.net) cannot be used as your username. In order to protect your statement payment information, your charter.net login is only used for charter.net premium services and email access.
  • Select a security question and type your preferred answer.
    • The security question and answer are used for account verification when you contact Charter by phone or chat. Select a security question (from the list provided) and answer that will be easy for you to remember.
  • Click the Register button, and you are ready to access My Account Overview.

Login to My Account

Click here or go to www.charter.com/myaccount to log in to your online account.  You will be asked to provide your username, password and service address zip code.

Forgot my Username or Password

It's quick and easy to retrieve your username and/or online.

Forgot my Username

If you forgot your Username, click Forgot Username?

  • Enter either your home phone number or account number and your service address zip code, click Next
  • Enter your Security Answer in the Security Answer field, click Next.

Note: If you have forgotten your Security Answer, click here.  If you have not established a My Account security question  chat or contact customer service at 1-888-438-2427. You will be asked to provide your security code or your personal identification number (PIN).

Type your Password and select Login NOW, or if you choose to also change your password, type a password in New Password and re-enter it in Confirm Password and select Login NOW.

If you forgot your Password, click Forgot Password

  • Enter either your home phone number or account number and your service address zip code, click Next
  • Enter your Security Answer in the Security Answer field, click Next.

  • Type a password in New Password and re-enter it in Confirm Password and select Login NOW.

My Profile - Update Account Settings

Update My Account Username or Password

You may change your username or password by selecting the My Profile page after you log in to My Account. In order to update your password, type in your new password and retype it.  Your old password is required when updating the password.

Accessing / Changing Your Security Information

To view or change your security code select the My Profile page after you log in to My Account. Your security code will be hidden. Click View or Change Code to view your code.

You may change your security code online via My Account, in person at a local Charter office or by phone or chat with a Customer Care agent.

To change your security code online, type in a new code in the New Security Code box.

Note: Your security code must be 4-digits in length and cannot contain any letters. It cannot be sequential (i.e. 1234) and cannot be the same 4-digits (i.e. 1111 or 0000). Be sure to choose a code that is easy to remember.

Click the Save Changes button to save your changes.

Update Security Question and Answer

The security question and answer are used for account verification when you contact Charter by phone or chat. Charter employees will use this information to verify that you are the valid account owner. We recommend that you select a security question (from the list provided) and answer that will be easy for you to remember.

You may change your security question and answer by selecting the My Profile page after you log in to My Account.

Click the Save Changes button to save your changes.

Note: It is not necessary to update your contact email address when making changes to your security question and answer.

Contact Email

The contact email address you provide is used to send notification(s) when certain activity occurs on your account.  Below is a list of the email notifications that you might receive as a benefit of registering for your My Account.

  • Charter Statement Ready to View Notification
  • One Time Payment Confirmation
  • Scheduled One Time Payment Confirmation
  • Auto Pay Registration Confirmation
  • Cancel Auto Pay Confirmation
  • Auto Pay Credit Card 30 day expiration notification
  • Billing Address Change Notification
  • Welcome to My Account Registration Confirmation
  • Bill Delivery Preference Notification

Update Contact Email address

You may change your contact email address by selecting the My Profile page after you login to My Account and clicking on "Change contact email".

Type your new contact email address in the Contact Email field.

Click the Save Changes button to save your changes.

To ensure that the new email address is updated, log out of My Account, log back in and select My Bill & Services, select My Services and the new email address will display under Customer Contact Information. 

Note: It is not necessary to update your security question and answer when making changes to your contact email address.
