With Charter Auto Pay, we provide you a convenient automatic way to pay your bill every month. Our Auto Pay service is free of charge and ensures your monthly payments are paid on time with no stamps to buy or checks to mail. Once enrolled, your monthly statement balance will be deducted from your checking account, savings account, debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard and Discover accepted) automatically each month.

When you enroll in Auto Pay, you will continue to receive your monthly billing statement, however instead of receiving a due date; your statement will display a draft date and the reminder of Auto Pay. The draft date is the date the statement balance will be withdrawn from your financial institution.

Important Information Regarding Payments: Auto Pay may take up to two billing statements to begin drafting your payment automatically. You will need to continue to make one-time payments (online, via mail, phone, or local Charter office) until "Auto Pay" is displayed on your billing statement.

Enroll in Auto Pay on Charter.com

Enrolling in Auto Pay is easy! You can enroll using your checking or savings account or with a debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted). Once enrolled, Auto Pay must be verified through your financial institution which may take up to 45 days following enrollment. Please continue to make one-time payments until "Auto Pay" appears on your statement.

  1. Login to your online My Account at charter.com/myaccount.
  2. From the Overview tab, select the My Bill & Services Tab and click the Setup Auto Pay button.

  1. Click the Setup Auto Pay button. Choose from the Payment Options available - credit, debit or checking/savings account.
  2. Follow the simple steps for enrolling with your preferred method of payment; agree to the terms and your finished.
  3. You will receive a final confirmation screen completing your Auto Pay enrollment. A confirmation email will be sent to the contact email address listed in your My Account.
  4. A Charter Customer Representative can setup auto pay tor you only if you want to use a credit card. If you want to setup auto pay on a checking account, savings account or a debit card you will have to set up auto pay yourself through your My Account.

Note: Once enrolled, it may take up to 45 days for Auto Pay to be verified through your financial institution and become active. Please continue to make one-time payments until Auto Pay is displayed on your statement

Update Auto Pay on Charter.com

Updating your existing Auto Pay account is quick and easy. You can update debit/credit card information, expiration dates and bank account information online by accessing My Account and following these simple steps:

Note:  If you want to change your Auto Pay account method of payment (for example from checking account to credit card) you must cancel your existing Auto Pay account first. Click here for steps on how to cancel your Auto Pay enrollment.

  1. Login to your online My Account at charter.com/myaccount
  2. From My Account Overview, select the My Bill & Services tab and then click the Edit Auto Pay button found next to your Current Payment Option.

  1. On the Payment Options screen, select your existing method of Auto Pay and click the Edit Auto Pay button.
  2. Follow the simple steps to make your necessary updates, agree to the Terms and Conditions and click Continue.

You will receive a final confirmation screen completing your updates. A confirmation email will be sent to the contact email address listed.

Now that you know the steps, click here to login and click Pay Bill button or My Bill & Services tab to update your automatic payment.

Cancel Auto Pay on Charter.com

  1. Login to your online My Account at charter.com/myaccount
  2. From My Account Overview, select the My Bill & Services tab and click the Edit Auto Pay button.
  3. Click the ‘Cancel Your Auto Pay' option
  4. Click the Edit Auto Pay button.

  1. You will receive a confirmation screen that your Auto Pay selection has been cancelled. A confirmation email will be sent to the contact email address listed.

Note: If you have a pending Auto Pay draft you must cancel your Auto Pay enrollment 3 business days prior to the scheduled draft date to avoid payment being withdrawn from/charged to your account.

Enroll in Auto Pay on m.charter.com

You can enroll in auto pay on your mobile device by:

  1. Visit m.charter.com
  2. Tap Current Customer
  3. Tap MyAccount & Bill Pay
  4. Login to using your MyAccount username and password. If you do not have one you can create one by visiting charter.com/myaccount
  5. Tap Pay My Bill

  2. Choose Debit, Credit or Bank Account

  1. Choose your method of autopay, complete the required fields, accept the terms and conditions and tap the SUBMIT button.

Update Auto Pay on Mobile

You can update auto pay on your mobile device by:

  1. Visit m.charter.com
  2. Tap Current Customer
  3. Tap MyAccount & Bill Pay
  4. Login to using your MyAccount username and password. If you do not have one you can create one by visiting charter.com/myaccount
  5. Tap Pay My Bill
  6.  Tap Edit Auto Pay button

  2. Receive confirmation

Cancel Auto Pay on Mobile

  1. Visit m.charter.com
  2. Tap Current Customer

  5. Tap Pay My Bill
  6. Tap pay bill $ icon on the bottom
