Refresh Digital Receivers

Clicking the "Refresh" Button will:

  • Send a refresh signal to all your digital receivers to resolve Charter TV service issues: missing channels, interactive program guide and no picture or poor picture quality.
  • Activate new Charter issued digital equipment picked up from a Charter Store. If this process does not successfully activate your equipment, please follow the voice activation process outlined online here.

Clicking "Refresh" will not interfere with scheduled or previously recorded programs on DVRs.

If you continue experience TV service related issues or the equipment you recently picked up from a Charter Store is not responding please contact us.

  1. Go to charter.com/myaccount

  1. Create a My Account or Login

  2. Click Refresh
  3. All Digital Receivers (Standard, High Definition and DVR's) in your home will be refreshed. This process can take up to 15 minutes to complete

  2. Tap/Click Current Customer
  3. Tap/Click My Account & Bill Pay
  4. Log into your My Account

Note: If you have not created a my account visit Charter.com/MyAccount to establish one

Note: Online refreshes of Charter Digital TV equipment is limited to one every 15 minutes for a maximum of 3 refreshes in a 24 hours period. Interactive Voice Response (IVR)

Our automated attendant at will allow you to refresh your digital receiver over the phone.

  1. Dial 1-888-438-2427
  2. When asked to briefly describe the reason you are calling say, 'Refresh my box"
  3. All Digital Receivers (Standard, High Definition and DVR's) in your home will be refreshed. This process can take up to 15 minutes to complete.
