Barnes & Noble Nook WiFi & Email Connection

Follow the Steps below to connect your Barnes & Noble Nook to your Charter WiFi and your Charter.net Email account.

Wireless Connection

To connect your Barnes & Noble Nook to your Charter WiFi:

1. Open your Settings screen

2. Tap Wireless to get in the network information screen

3. Make sure the Wi-Fi toggle is set to ON
4. In this screen you should see a list of wireless networks in range of your Nook. Tap on the network you want to connect to

5.  If it requires a password you will be prompted for a password at this time

6. Tap Connect

Charter Email

To add a Charter.net Email account to your Nook:

1. Tap Apps then tap Email
2. Enter your Charter.net Email address and password
3. Tap Manual Setup
4. Tap IMAP, then tap OK
5. On the next screen the NOOK will populate the fields SOME OF THESE SETTINGS MUST BE CHANGED
   • Username - This is your full Charter.net Email address
   • Password - This is the password for your Charter.net Email address
   • IMAP server - This MUST be set to mobile.charter.net
   • Security type - This MUST be set to SSL
   • Port - This MUST be set to 993
   • IMAP path prefix - Leave this field as the default
6. Tap Next
7. On the next screen the NOOK will populate the fields SOME OF THESE SETTINGS MUST BE CHANGED
   • SMTP server - This MUST be set to mobile.charter.net
   • Security type - This MUST be set to SSL
   • Port - This MUST be set to 587
   • Require sign-in - This MUST be checked
   • Username - This is your full Charter.net Email address
   • Password - This is the password for your Charter.net Email address
8. Tap Next
9. Set the options on this screen according to your preferences and tap Next
10. Give your Email account a description and name and tap Done
