Samsung Galaxy Tablet WiFi & Email Connection

Follow the Steps below to connect your Samsung Galaxy Tablet to your Charter WiFi and your Charter.net Email account

Wireless Connection

To connect your Samsung Galaxy to your Charter WiFi:

1. On the Home screen, tap Menu
2. Tap Settings

3. Tap Wireless and network

4. Tap Wi-Fi Settings

5. Check mark the box next to Wi-Fi to turn it ON

6. Under Wi-Fi networks tap on your network name

7. If your WiFi network is secured you will be prompted to enter your WiFi password

Charter Email

To add a Charter.net Email account to your Samsung Galaxy tablet:

1. From a home screen, select Apps (located in the upper right)

2. From the All tab, select Settings

3. Select Accounts & sync

4. Select Add account (located in the upper right)

5. Select Email

6. Enter your Charter.net Email address and your password and tap Next:

7. Select IMAP

8. Enter the Incoming server settings then select Next

Username - Your full Charter Email address Note: Make sure you enter @charter.net after your username or you will be unable to login
Password - The password you use to login to your Email account
IMAP Server – mobile.charter.net
Security type - SSL
Port - 993
Delete email from server – Set this according to your preference

9. Enter the Outgoing server settings then select Next.

SMTP Server – mobile.charter.net
Security type - SSL
Port - 587
Require sign-in – Checked
Username – Your full Charter Email address Note: Make sure you enter @charter.net after your username or you will be unable to login
Password - The password you use to login to your Email account

10. Set the following Account options according to your preference then select Next.

Inbox checking frequency
Send email from this account by default.
Notify me when email arrives
Sync email from this account

11. Enter an account name and a display name (required) then select Next to finish setup
