About Charter’s Law Enforcement Group
Charter’s Law Enforcement Group was established to assist law enforcement officers in responding to life-threatening emergencies throughout the country. Although the program was set up specifically with schools in mind, this program can also be utilized by law enforcement officers responding to any life-threatening emergency.
A life-threatening emergency is defined as one in which a person is in immediate danger of death or serious physical injury.
IF YOU ARE NOT A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, PLEASE ACT RESPONSIBLY.
This program and associated hotline are for law enforcement officers only. If you are not a law enforcement officer, the resources that have been staffed and dedicated to this program will not be able to assist you.
Anyone who attempts to use this hotline for anything other than a law enforcement emergency will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
If you are a private citizen dealing with a life-threatening situation, please contact your local law enforcement agency or dial 9-1-1 immediately.
If you are attempting to report hacking or spamming: You can report abuse (e.g., spam, port scans, intrusion attempts, etc.) to the ISP or organization that owns the IP address involved in the offense. You can determine who owns the IP address by entering it into the WHOISRWS search box located at http://whois.arin.net/ui.
