What is the AntiBot Scanner?
The AntiBot Scanner is a malware removal tool specifically designed to scan the common places botnets hide on your computer. The AntiBot Scanner is not compatible with Apple Mac computers or mobile devices.
What is a Botnet?
A Botnet is a group of devices infected with malware that are remotely controlled and used without your knowledge.
Am I Botted?
Charter has monitoring tools that alert us to botnet activity on our network and we may notify you if we think you might be affected. Follow the steps below to scan your computer and remove any infection.
Botnet Removal Steps for Windows Computers
- Access the AntiBot Scanner and select Run.
- Accept the Terms & Conditions and select Start to scan your computer and remove any malware. You may be asked to restart your computer more than once.
- Once scanning is complete, select Close to exit.
It is important to run the AntiBot Scanner on all Windows computers in your home. Guests who have connected to your network in the past should make sure their devices are clean as well.
